Sasol Polymers is producer and marketer of ethylene, propylene, low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), polypropylene,
vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chloralkali chemicals and mining reagents.
The production facilities are in South Africa at Sasolburg and Secunda. Sales offices are located in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Sasolburg. The needs
of international customers are addressed by International Trading. This specialised unit exports products from the South African based operations and sources complementary products from our international joint venture partners.
Our people aim to provide fast, reliable service and consistently high
quality products at competitive prices. This is achieved through customer
support in the areas of technical expertise, safety and environmental
responsibility, all within the ambit of a stringent quality control system and
the Responsible Care® initiative.
The Hazchem Emergency response offers a 24-hour, nationwide service where we
work in conjunction with local authorities and provide training in the safe
handling and use of all chemical products. We also assist customers in stock and
inventory management systems.
Our polymer products are key to a wide range of industrial applications including bottles and profiles, domestic disinfectants, footwear and packaging, while products from our chemicals portfolio are used in industries such as gold extraction, pulp and paper, steel, textiles and water treatment industries.
Sasol Polymers is a division of Sasol Chemical Industries, which is a major
company in Sasol's family of businesses. We conduct business throughout southern
Africa and export to over 30 countries, mainly in the Asia Pacific region and
East and West Africa.

manufacturing, technical support and logistical operation. The business employs
