Sasol Nitro is a division of Sasol Chemical Industries which is a major company in Sasol's family of businesses.
Sasol Nitro produces and markets ammonia, ammonium nitrate based fertilizers, commercial explosives, nitric acid, phosphoric acid and a range of specialized
blasting accessories.
The ideal location of its plants allows Sasol Nitro to offer value added products and services to its customers in Southern and Central Africa. Major production facilities in South Africa are located at Bronkhorstspruit,
Phalaborwa, Rustenburg, Sasolburg and Secunda. Bulk and packaged explosives and related accessories are also manufactured at sites close to major mining
customers. Products are also exported globally.
Sasol Nitro also markets other products on behalf of the Sasol Group. This includes total group production of sulphur, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, propane, butane, argon, krypton and xenon gases.
Sasol Nitro is a signatory to Responsible Care® and its plants are all ISO 9001 (quality management system) and ISO 14001 (environment management systems) and BS OHSAS 18001 certified.
